Heather Johnson is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Wisconsin and is nationally certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Masters of Acupuncture from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, Minnesota. During clinical rotations Heather had the privilege of interning at several clinics including: Edith Davis Teaching Clinic, Burnsville Natural Health Center, Salvation Army/Harbor Lights Natural Care Center, and Woodwinds Hospital.
Heather has experience treating patients with a wide array of conditions including: common cold, musculoskeletal pain, neuropathy, digestive issues, sleeping issues, post surgical orthopedics, anxiety/depression, PTSD, gynecological issues, as well as fertility and lactation support. Heather also has experience supporting those experiencing the negative side effects associated with cancer treatment. Additionally, she has assisted in comfort support for individuals in the final stages of Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).
In her final year of graduate school Heather had the privilege of traveling to Tianjin, China. While there, she studied at The First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University, allowing for advanced and specialized training in stroke rehabilitation, women’s health and pediatrics.
When Heather is not treating patients she enjoys spending time with her daughter, reading, cooking, hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, and traveling.
